Missouri's 13 casinos reported a combined adjusted gross revenue (AGR) of $163 million in May, marking a 5 percent increase from April's $155.9 million, according to the latest figures from the Missouri Gaming Commission.
Leading the pack was Ameristar St. Charles, which generated $25.2 million in revenue. Other notable performers included Rivers City Casino with $21.4 million, Hollywood Casino with $21.2 million, Ameristar Kansas City with $17.1 million, and Argosy Casino Hotel & Spa with $14.9 million. Overall, nine out of the 13 casinos experienced a year-on-year revenue boost. The state accrued $34.2 million in taxes from these earnings.
Century Casinos Expands with New Hotel in Missouri
In April, Century Casinos unveiled its latest development, The Riverview hotel, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. This $30.5 million project features a 69-room, six-story building spanning 68,000 square feet and is seamlessly connected to Century Casino Cape Girardeau.
Additionally, Century Casinos is working on a new land-based casino, accompanied by a 38-room hotel, in Caruthersville, Missouri. The construction began in December 2022 and is expected to be completed by the fourth quarter of 2024.
